
Ann Kowaleski is an award-winning quilt artist whose work has been in many national and international exhibitions including Visions and Quilt National. Her work has been reproduced in such publications as Fiberarts, Art/Quilt and Quilters Newsletter, and books such as America's Quilts and 500 Art Quilts. She was born in Remus, Michigan and completed an MA in Counseling at Central Michigan University. She has taught many workshops and curated the quilt show "Contemporary Quilts of the Great Lakes States" at Central Michigan University. She is married to poet Eric Torgersen and has one daughter, Elizabeth Torgersen, who has completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Psychology. Many of these quilts are for sale. Looking forward to 2023, Ann will be showing her new work with Painter Nancy (Nanok) Davis at the Hardy Gall Gallery, Ramsdell Center for the Arts, Manistee, Michigan May 3-June 17, opening May 6, 4-6 pm.
